By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last week, Leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow attended the annual meeting of Global Leaders at the International Democracy Forum (IDF) in Washington D.C.
There, Barrow also met with Congressman Andre Carson and attended a Bahrain reception where he met Bahrain Ambassador Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Barrow says that Khalifa gave a compelling speech about rejecting extremism and bringing people together as the world faces conflicts fueled by fanaticism.
“Embracing plurality and diversity is the only to world peace and stability. Finding common ground rather than focusing on our disagreements has to be the way. Dialogue and Diplomacy that build bridges and eliminates barriers,” Barrow stated.
