By Aaron Humes: The death of a man from San Joaquin, Corozal District in San Pedro Town whose body was found this morning is being investigated by police.
The body was recovered around 6:30 this morning, Wednesday, in the area of the lagoon near Nurse Shark Street, San Pedro Town, and was identified as that of 45-year-old Cesar Cowo.
According to police, Cowo had visited the polyclinic on Tuesday evening complaining of vomiting all day and difficulty breathing. The doctor examined him, and X-rays revealed a slight lung infection. He was given antibiotics and released from the clinic around 6:45 p.m. and instructed to return today for blood work and further treatment.
Police say Cowo was known as an alcoholic and was sleeping on the dock at night. The body was viewed and examined and no sign of injuries or physical violence was observed.
