Speaking at the opening of the National Agriculture and Trade Show 2026 in Belmopan, Mustapha revealed that his government has approved ten scholarships for Belizeans to study at the Guyana School of Agriculture.
The initiative forms part of broader regional efforts to strengthen agricultural capacity and encourage youth involvement in the sector. The minister emphasized that investing in education and training is critical to transforming agriculture into a modern and profitable career path.
The scholarships are expected to support Belize’s continued growth in agriculture and contribute to regional food security goals.
