Belize City Council commends Government of Belize on inauguration of Haulover Bridge Replacement Project

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 25, 2024, the Belize City Council and Mayor Bernard Wagner joined Prime Minister John Briceño, Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing Julius Espat, other esteemed government officials and the Ministry team for the official Inauguration Ceremony of the Haulover Bridge Replacement Project.

The Haulover Bridge holds immense importance for Belize, connecting Belize City to the Philip Goldson Highway and serving as a vital link for transportation and commerce.

The Belize City Council notes that the significance cannot be overstated, as it facilitates the movement of goods, services, and people, contributing to the economic growth and development of our city.

The modern design of the new Haulover Bridge represents a leap forward in infrastructure and symbolizes progress and prosperity for Belize.

Mayor Wagner and the Belize City Council commended the efforts of the Government of Belize and Minister Julius Espat and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Development, and Housing for their dedication and hard work in bringing this project to fruition.

“The completion of this effort is a true testament to our government’s commitment to delivering on the promises outlined in Plan Belize.
