Belizeans endure grueling week of power outages amidst generation shortages and supply restrictions from CFE

Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has issued a cautionary advisory, signaling that load shedding measures may be implemented before noon today.

“We advise our Customers that load shedding may become necessary for various sections of the country to maintain the stability of the grid, starting even before noon today,” BEL emphasized.

As the situation unfolds, BEL pledges to keep the public informed by promptly sharing any tentative load shedding schedules.

“We remind our Customers that the situation is fluid, which means that it can quickly change based on electricity demand and generation supply available at any given time,” the company reiterated.
