By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, Mayor of Belmopan Pablo Cawich invited all Belizeans to visit the Garden City as they enjoy the National Agriculture and Trade Show 2024.
Mayor Cawich emphasized the importance of nurturing the Earth and conserving precious resources.
He urged attendees to find creative ways to integrate sustainable food systems and mitigate climate change.
In a moment of recognition and celebration, Mayor Cawich extended heartfelt congratulations to the distinguished awardees: Maura Escobar, honoured as the Junior Farmer of the Year; Sara Chub, recognized as the Female Farmer of the Year; and Nandy Aldana, acknowledged as the Senior Farmer of the Year.
On behalf of the Council and the residents of Belmopan, Mayor Cawich encourages everyone to visit the Garden City this weekend for the National Agriculture and Trade Show.
