By Zoila Palma: Within the margins of the Fifty-First Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Oscar Arnold, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belize, met today with Jin Hyun Paik, the Republic of Korea’s candidate for the International Court of Justice (ICJ), who presented his candidature, and Jin Hae Kim, Government Representative to CARICOM.
Discussions included exploring opportunities to strengthen Belize–Republic of Korea relations, including cooperation with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
In addition, they discussed collaboration in artificial intelligence, developments in the Central American Integration System (SICA) integration process, and the proposed negotiation of a visa waiver agreement between Belize and the Republic of Korea.
