By Zoila Palma: On July 6, 2026, the Department of the Environment (DOE) and Belize Forest Department (BFD) participated in a Mangrove Regulations and EIA Regulations Training hosted by the Southern Environmental Association (SEA).
During the training, the Department of the Environment delivered a presentation on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, providing participants with a better understanding of the regulatory framework and the importance of environmental assessments in sustainable development.
The session contributed to strengthening knowledge of environmental legislation and promoting greater environmental awareness among participants.
