By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A long-simmering feud between two women, reportedly over the same man, has landed at the Trial Farm Police Sub Station, after a confrontation at a San Jose Village, Orange Walk home turned physical.
According to the Belize Police Department, a 35-year-old domestic of the village reported that on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m., she was at home when another woman arrived at her house and began insulting her.
The complainant told police the hostility is nothing new. She reported that it has been going on for two years, ever since the other woman entered a relationship with her husband, and that the woman seeks to fight and cause problems whenever they cross paths on the street.
On Sunday, she said, the insults escalated into an argument and then a struggle, during which she received a scratch to her chest.
Police recorded a statement from the complainant. The other woman is to be located and spoken to, and no arrests have been made or charges laid at this time.
The names of those involved are being withheld, as the matter remains under police attention and no one has been charged.
