By Zoila Palma: San Ignacio and Santa Elena are buzzing with excitement as final preparations are underway for the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration, set for Friday and Saturday, May 2–3, 2025.
Mayor Earl Trapp Jr., Councilors Lin Valentine and Sandra Lanza, along with the Welcome Center Director conducted a final walkthrough of Burns Avenue and the Welcome Center ahead of the festivities.
Hosted by the San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council, the event promises lively entertainment, cultural displays, and opportunities to support local entrepreneurs.
Residents and visitors are warmly invited to attend and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere while contributing to the local economy.
The celebration kicks off Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. and runs until midnight, featuring music by two DJs and a special performance by Golden Paws Band.
Activities will continue throughout the weekend, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the community.
The Town Council encourages everyone to come out, celebrate responsibly, and take part in what promises to be a festive and family-friendly weekend.
