Thief hits Golden Bay construction site

By Aaron Humes: A Cayo District resident who is working at the Golden Bay construction site on Marine Parade reported his room had been broken into and belongings stolen.

The construction worker reported that on Tuesday, April 21, at approximately 7:30 p.m., he went to sleep in his room located on the second floor of a five-story building at Golden Bay, after securing the door. At about 9:00 p.m. that same night, he was awakened by his roommate, who was inquiring about missing items.

He then got up and checked his belongings, noticing that the following items were missing: one black Redmi A5 cellular phone (valued at $350, number 631-5108), one green Jansport school bag (valued at $35), one brown wallet (valued at $25) containing $25 in various denominations, identification cards (Social Security, Voters ID, Medical Card), and assorted clothing (valued at $165) were missing, all to a total value of $575.

Police are investigating.
