By Aaron Humes: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has apologized to customers in portions of the Toledo, Stann Creek and Cayo Districts, and San Pedro Town who are currently experiencing an unplanned outage.

The outage is due to limited generation capacity following a temporary loss of power supply from Mexico’s CFE.

The company’s teams are working to stabilize power supply using local generation sources. Updates will be provided as they become available.
