By Zoila Palma: On July 16, 2026, the inauguration of the Stann Creek ITVET campus in Hope Creek Village was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, following a critical BZ$1.4 million rehabilitation project.
The extensive upgrade, which took approximately one year to complete, renovated the institution’s buildings, restrooms, and administration areas, with an emphasis on addressing past roofing issues.
The project was implemented by the Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
This was funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) under the Basic Needs Trust Fund 10th Programme (BNTF 10), enhancing the technical and vocational training capabilities needed to drive human resource development across southern Belize.
