By Aaron Humes: Police responded to a reported burglary at the offices of Prosser Fertilizer/Agrotec Company at Mile 8, George Price Highway on Sunday morning.
A supervisor led the police to a green and white cement bungalow measuring approximately 50 feet by 75 feet, located about 300 feet from the front entrance of the compound. During the inspection of the building, it was noted that the lock on the back door, located on the left side of the building, had been ground down and broken off, marking the point of entry.
While checking inside the building, it was observed that a television of unknown size, brand, and value had been stolen from the wall of the main supervisor’s office. Additionally, a cash pan containing an unknown amount of U.S. currency was also reported missing from a desk in that office.
Further checks were carried out in another office located in front of the main supervisor’s office, where it was noted that the DVR system, along with a monitor connected to the cameras, had been stolen. The entire building appeared to be ransacked, and since the manager was not present, the exact value of the missing items is currently unknown.
Two security guards who were on shift at the time have been detained and are to be interviewed as part of police investigations.
