By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After the Belize Men’s National Team (BMNT) played two matches against Puerto Rico, the Premier League of Belize Week 11 features three games this weekend with the premier match being the battle of the leaders: Verdes clashing head on with Port Layola on Holy Saturday.
The match is set for 4:00 pm at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio. Verdes are currently in the top spot with 27 points while Port follow in second with 20.
Week 11 started on Wednesday with the Bandits drawing 1-1 with Police Benque (Club Deportivo Benque) at home at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.
The other two games will feature Progresso hosting Wagiya at 7:30 pm at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk and Benque Viejo United tackling Champions Altitude at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Saturday, March 30 also at 7:30 pm.
