By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 28 year old labourer of San Victor Village, Corozal District has been charged with three traffic offences following a stop in San Jose Village.
Police say officers were on mobile patrol around 11am on Friday when their attention was drawn to a red and white Honlei motorcycle travelling ahead in the same direction.
The rider was ordered to stop and complied. When asked for his driver’s licence, he said he did not have it with him.
Further checks showed the motorcycle had no insurance disc and no licence sticker displayed. Asked about both, he told officers he had neither insurance nor a licence for the cycle.
He was detained, cautioned and escorted to the Trial Farm Police Sub Station. The motorcycle was impounded.
Victor Manuel Cowo was charged with failing to produce a driver’s permit, using a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance, and using an unlicensed motor vehicle.
He was cautioned and chose to remain silent.
