By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 23 year old call agent of Yo Creek Village has been charged with three traffic offences following a stop on Aurora Street, Orange Walk Town.

Police say officers were conducting mobile patrol around 5am on Friday when their attention was drawn to a blue motorcycle whose licence plate was not visible.

The patrol intercepted the cycle. When asked for his driver’s licence, the rider said it was at his shop at the market. Officers inspected the blue Lifan motorcycle and found no licence sticker or insurance disc displayed, and were given the same answer.

The rider and the cycle were escorted to his shop at the Orange Walk Town Market. Once there, he told police the cycle was neither licensed nor insured, and that his driver’s licence had expired.

He was placed under arrest, cautioned, informed of his constitutional rights and escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station. The motorcycle was impounded.

Rajerr Jovi Garcia was charged with using a motor vehicle without third party risk insurance, using an unlicensed motor vehicle, and driving without a valid driver’s licence.

He was granted police bail to appear in court on August 31.
