Ministry of Economic Transformation explores academic partnership with Ball State University and Central Bank

By Zoila Palma:  CEO at the Ministry of Economic Transformation Carlos Pol recently met with representatives from the Central Bank of Belize and Ball State University’s Miller College of Business (BSU/MCB) to discuss potential avenues for academic and research collaboration.

The meeting focused on BSU/MCB’s strengths in economic research and their commitment to contributing to Belize’s national development objectives.

The discussions underscored a shared interest in leveraging academic expertise to inform policy-making and support economic transformation initiatives.

The Ministry expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that ongoing dialogue will be key in identifying specific areas where the partnership can have a meaningful impact on national policy and development goals.
