By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP):  A 29-year-old Camalote Village resident is hospitalized tonight after suffering severe injuries, including a dismembered leg, in a horrific motorcycle accident along the George Price Highway.

Police say the crash happened between miles 52 and 53 near Roaring Creek. Responding officers found Adrian Gerald Banner Jr. seated on the roadside with major injuries, including a dismembered right leg and multiple abrasions to his body and head. A black Lifan 200cc dirt bike with extensive damages was also found at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Banner was traveling west toward Teakettle Village when he reportedly overtook three vehicles moving in the same direction. While attempting to return to his lane near a curve, he allegedly lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into an iron railing on the side of the highway.

BDF personnel reportedly assisted the injured rider before he was transported by ambulance to the Western Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Police investigations continue.
