By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Promising Belizean footballer Marlon Meza Jr, formerly of Westline FC in Cayo, has embarked on an exciting new chapter in his career, training at Mount Pleasant Academy in Jamaica. The 16-year-old talent, regarded as one of Belize’s brightest young prospects, recently made his senior debut for the Belize Men’s National Team in a match against Costa Rica, marking a significant achievement in his budding career.
Meza has already gained valuable international experience, having represented Belize at the Under-15, Under-17, and Under-20 levels. Recently, he accepted a scholarship from the Jamaican institution and traveled to the island, where he has now begun his training. Mount Pleasant Academy, a well-established football institution, is expected to provide him with an ideal environment to refine his skills, gain exposure, and take his career to new heights.
