Mayor, Ministry of Education and SIF sign Tripartite Agreement to formalize reconstruction of Santa Elena Government Pre-School

By Zoila Palma:  Construction is underway for the Santa Elena Government Pre-School, set to provide a modern learning environment for young children.

Mayor Earl Trapp Jr., Project Lead & PMC Chairlady Kamil Neal (SCFM-CAB), the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and SIF officials recently signed a Tripartite Agreement to formalize the initiative.

Funded by the Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) with support from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), the new facility will include:

    Two open classroom spaces

    A fully equipped kitchenette

    Child-friendly restrooms for both boys and girls

    Two teacher restrooms

    A dedicated storage area

    Comfortable furniture and multimedia resources

    Early stimulation educational toys

    A covered veranda

    An inclusive access ramp

With construction progressing steadily, the project promises to create an inclusive and nurturing space for early childhood education in Santa Elena.
