By Breaking Belize News Staff: Tyrel Audinett, 22, a call center agent was slapped with a hefty $1,325 fine after a domestic dispute with his common-law-wife on Boxing Day led to a scuffle with a police officer who responded to the incident.

Audinett appeared in court unrepresented and answered to five charges. He was charged with common assault upon his common-law-wife and threatening to kill her. He was also charged with resisting arrest, damage to property and aggravated assault upon PC Jason Rodriguez.

Audinett wasted no time and pleaded guilty to all charges. For his guilty plea, and because he is a first time offender, fines were imposed for his cries rather than jail time. For aggravated assault against PC Rodriguez he was fined $500 plus $5 cost of court and for the other charges he was fined $200 plus $5 cost of court each. He was given until February 28, 2024 to pay, in default, 5 months in jail.

According to reports, Audinett got into a dispute with his common-law-wife on December 26 while they were socializing with family when he started to act unruly. When his common-law-wife confronted him, he reportedly hit her to her face and body and threw her to the ground. When police responded, he reportedly resisted arrest and swung at PC Rodriguez and kicked him as well.
