By Zoila Palma: The Government of Belize and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) today officially launched the eleventh round of the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) Programme, which will provide US$5.19 million in grant funding to support economic development and community projects across the country.
The launch brought together government officials, CDB representatives, including Vice President of Operations Isaac Solomon, and the Belize Social Investment Fund team.
Over the past 25 years, Belize has benefited significantly from the programme, with 79 poverty reduction projects worth approximately US$23.7 million completed nationwide, helping to improve the quality of life in communities across the country.
