By Breaking Belize News Staff: David James Tillett, a 36-year-old construction worker from Los Lagos, is currently on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being charged with the theft of four aluminum louver windows valued at $440, allegedly stolen from a property in Lords Bank Village on Monday, October 28. Tillett, who appeared unrepresented in Magistrate Court #7, initially pleaded guilty but explained he had only found the windows and had no one to post bail.

Due to his explanation, the magistrate entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf, offering bail at $1,000, which he could not meet. Tillett remains in custody, subject to conditions prohibiting contact with the complainant and forbidding him from coming within 100 yards of the complainant’s residence. He is also barred from committing similar offenses while out on bail.
