By Aaron Humes: 41-year-old Carlton Belisle is spending Christmas in the hospital after being shot in the early hours of Monday morning at his residence in Hattieville, Belize District.
According to police, Belisle was found with gunshot injuries to his left leg and thigh in his yard at the Farmers Site, Hattieville, near Mile 16 ½ George Price Highway, around 1:15 a.m. There was also an apparent bullet hole over a black aluminum louver window on Belisle’s cement-built home.
Belisle told police that he was in the bathroom in his yard around 12:50 a.m. On exiting he saw two men, one of whom he recognized. This man opened fire on him.
He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and remains there in stable condition. Police are now investigating.
