Galen University plays friendly basketball game against Kolbe Foundation

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Galen University played a friendly basketball game against Kolbe Foundation inmates at the Belize Central Prison near Hattieville on Wednesday, January 24.

The game was organized by the Galen University’s Criminal Justice Club and Galen’s Athletics Department in collaboration with the Kolbe Foundation.

The game was reportedly won by Galen but the score is irrelevant as the objective was far greater than the game.

“The  game was an initiative, under the Criminal Justice Program’s mandate to promote social inclusion, restorative justice and rehabilitation within the Criminal justice system,” Galen University said in a social media post.

“The game marked the beginning of further collaboration to provide technical expertise to the Kolbe Foundation to support the reintegration and rehabilitation programs.”
