Cervical cancer can be cured if diagnosed and treated at an early stage of disease.

The Belize Cancer Society has launched a sticker campaign encouraging and urging women to get their pap smear done.

I’m a 33-year-old mother of 2 beautiful children and I did my pap smear for the first time this morning.

I arrived a bit nervous but the process was quick and easy.

Nurse Dolly Witz at the Belize Family Life Association (BFLA) walks you through the process and explains the importance of the screening.

Recently, just like many other families across Belize, our family lost a loved one to cervical cancer and her pain and death prompted the discussion about cervical cancer.

Women are urged to visit their nearest health facilities to get their screening done because no woman should die of cancer.
