By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Belizean family and members of the wider Belizean community in the United States are mourning the loss of eighty-year-old Virginia Foreman, who was killed this week after being struck by a vehicle in Houston, Texas.
According to reports, the fatal incident occurred on June 1 along Fondren Road. Foreman was reportedly crossing the roadway with the assistance of a walker when she was struck by a vehicle outside of a marked crosswalk.
Emergency responders were called to the scene, but Foreman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.
Houston Police say the driver, a young woman, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. Officials reported that there were no indications of impairment, speeding or reckless driving.
At this time, no charges have been filed as investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
Many have taken to social media to offer condolences and prayers to her loved ones during this difficult time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
