By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Kendall Morgan’s reign as the 78th Queen of the Bay has been cut short.
The Association of Former Queens and the National Queen of the Bay Committee announced they have unanimously revoked her title allegedly due to multiple breaches of her contract and ongoing behavior issues.
A statement explained that Morgan, who was crowned in 2023, repeatedly violated contract terms related to her conduct, including instances of bullying and disrespect.
Despite receiving several warnings and offers of support, Morgan’s behavior did not improve, the association said.
The decision to strip Morgan of her title follows a series of meetings and attempts to resolve the issues.
The title will now be awarded to the first runner-up of the 78th Queen of the Bay Pageant. Morgan will keep her prizes, including a property and a scholarship.
The Association and Committee emphasized their zero-tolerance policy on bullying and remain open to supporting Morgan in the future.
Since that post, Morgan has posted to her Facebook page, “Remember Jesus Christ too was spatted on and poked in the eye with a sword he was given vinegar on a sponge to drink instead of water and he was Jesus Christ. He could have called angels to take his defense but still didn’t, imagine all this and he was the Son of God… I don’t serve a lesser God I serve a mighty God. My God is bigger than anything I face.”
Amid the controversy, Kendall’s supporters say that she will always be their Queen while others are claiming that it is important that contestants and winners adhere to the rules.
