By Zoila Palma:  The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) recently handed over a donation of 10 tablets to strengthen disease surveillance in the country.

The CARPHA team was in Belize for a 3-day in-country mission.

“These tablets will empower our public health and surveillance staff to gather and digitize data in the field, helping them work faster and better.

CARPHA continues providing technical support and resources to strengthen and transform Belize’s surveillance systems,” the Ministry of Health and Wellness said.

In addition, CARPHA and the Ministry hosted an Advanced Food Safety Training in Belize City, bringing together Public Health Inspectors and members of the hotel sector in Belize.
