By Zoila Palma: Cabinet, during its meeting on May 26, 2026, welcomed an update on Belize’s project submissions under the CARICOM Development Fund.
The projects represent 9 million dollars in combined loan and grant financing aimed at rural poverty alleviation, agricultural modernization and climate-resilient education infrastructure.
The initiatives include school infrastructure development in the Corozal and Cayo districts, as well as honey and livestock development projects.
It also includes the construction of a market building in Bella Vista, Toledo, as part of efforts to strengthen rural economic activity and community development.
