By Zoila Palma: Belizean Francisco Zamora has successfully completed his Initial Naval Training at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint, Cornwall, officially earning his place in the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.
After 10 weeks of intensive training, Zamora met the rigorous physical and mental standards required of Royal Navy personnel, demonstrating the discipline, resilience and professionalism expected of every sailor.
The milestone was celebrated by his partner, Vanessa, his parents, and Warrant Officer Class 2 Glenn Robinson of the Royal Engineers, who attended the graduation ceremony to mark the beginning of his military career.
Zamora’s achievement represents a significant step as he joins one of the world’s oldest continuous naval services.
Following his successful completion of basic training, Able Seaman Francisco Zamora will move on to the Royal Navy’s Logistics Branch, where he will receive specialized training to support naval operations both at sea and ashore.
