By Breaking Belize News Staff: Moisture-laden easterly winds continue to shape weather conditions across Belize, particularly in the coastal and southern regions. The forecast for today calls for cloudy skies with occasional sunny breaks and scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms. These conditions are expected to persist throughout the day.
As night falls, most areas will see partly cloudy skies with only isolated showers. However, the south may still experience a few additional showers into the nighttime hours.
Winds are expected to blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots, producing choppy sea conditions. Waves are forecast to range between 3 and 5 feet, and small craft operators are advised to navigate with care.
Temperature readings today show highs near 92 degrees Fahrenheit in inland areas, 88 degrees along the coast, and around 80 degrees in elevated regions. Lows tonight are forecast at 74 degrees inland, 82 on the coast, and 68 in the hills.
There is no threat of tropical cyclone development in the region over the next 48 hours, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center.
The outlook for Sunday and Sunday night indicates partly cloudy skies and isolated showers, with a chance of early morning thunderstorms along coastal areas.
