By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A live M67 fragmentation grenade found in Corozal Town yesterday triggered a major security response involving the Belize Defence Force bomb squad.
Officials say the explosive device was discovered on C Street, leading to the immediate deployment of the BDF Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team. The grenade was later safely removed without incident.
The M67 is considered a highly dangerous military-grade fragmentation grenade capable of causing serious injuries and destruction.
Police and BDF personnel continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery as officials work to determine how the grenade came to be in Corozal Town.
