Belize Defence Force activates Operation Fast Ball due to approach of Hurricane Beryl

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of National Defence and Border Security informed all members of the Belize Defence Force Regular Element that Operation Fast Ball has been activated with effect today.

“All members who are working at Force Headquarters, Services and Support Battalion the Air Wing and Special Boat Unit those on Resettlement, Annual Leave, and Stand Down are to report to Price Barracks. This action is necessary as the Force continues its preparation and readiness plan of action in order to respond to any events caused by and in anticipation of Hurricane Beryl,” a statement from the BDF explained.
