By Zoila Palma: The Government of Belize and the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) have signed a modification agreement to the Belize Compact, updating the framework for the US$125 million grant partnership.
The Government of Belize noted that the revised agreement strengthens investments in education delivery and energy infrastructure, with the goal of supporting long-term economic growth and reducing poverty.
The Government of Belize said the updated compact reflects continued bilateral cooperation and advances institutional reforms aimed at promoting equity, expanding opportunities, and improving the quality of life for Belizeans.
