By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect another day of unsettled weather as moist and unstable conditions continue to linger across the country, according to the latest forecast issued by the National Meteorological Service.
Forecasters predict cloudy skies at times throughout today and tonight, with showers and thunderstorms likely to affect parts of central and northern Belize during the morning hours. While rainfall activity is expected to decrease later in the day, additional showers and thunderstorms could redevelop over inland areas this afternoon before shifting mainly to southern districts tonight.
Elsewhere across the country, shower activity is expected to remain isolated.
Temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 88 degrees along the coast, and 81 degrees in the hills. Marine conditions will be moderate, with easterly to southeasterly winds blowing between 10 and 20 knots and wave heights ranging from four to six feet.
The good news for residents is that tropical cyclone formation is not expected anywhere in the region during the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, meteorologists say skies will remain cloudy at times, although shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to become more isolated across the country.
