By Breaking Belize News Staff: Reports to Breaking Belize News indicate that Minister of Defence Florencio Marin Jr. has been placed on leave from cabinet.
Marin is the second cabinet Minister to be placed on leave following the controversy surrounding Mira-related companies and issues relating to procurement within the Ministry during Mira’s tenure as Minister.
According to reports, the decision was made following a series of sub $10,000 payments made to vendors who supplied his ministry.
An ongoing audit is being conducted in the Ministry.
