Police are investigating a traffic accident that left multiple persons injured following a collision at mile 64 on the Phillip Goldson Highway near San Jose Village, Orange Walk.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred on May 3 when a pickup truck driven by 62-year-old Hilmar Chi allegedly entered the highway and collided with another pickup driven by 35-year-old Rodney Herrera.
The impact caused Herrera’s vehicle to flip several times before crashing into a third parked pickup.
Herrera, along with his wife and two children, were transported to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment. All four sustained minor injuries.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
