By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The investigation into the death of 19-year-old Jamir Cambranes is gaining momentum as police confirm they are searching for two suspects and have impounded a vehicle believed to be involved.
ASP Stacy Smith reported that officers responded to information early Wednesday morning regarding a body found along the Boom/Hattieville Road. Upon arrival, they confirmed the deceased as Cambranes.
Authorities revealed that the teen had left Belize City earlier that night but failed to respond to repeated calls from concerned family members. Police later tracked his phone, leading to the discovery of his body.
A Chevy Equinox suspected to be connected to the case has since been seized, and investigators say important evidence has been recovered from the scene.
While similar vehicles have been mentioned in other incidents, police clarified that this case is not connected to previous reports. Efforts are now focused on locating the suspects, believed to be from Belize City, as the investigation continues.
