By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 5-year-old boy is in stable condition after he was struck by a vehicle his father was driving in Maskall Village on Friday morning.
According to information received by police, the incident occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Friday. The child was reportedly struck by a vehicle driven by his father, who was reportedly leaving the home but did not see the child in front of the vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
The boy was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. A subsequent update from the hospital indicated that he is in stable condition and is being kept under observation.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
