By Rubén Morales Iglesias: As Belize gets ready for their second game in the 2025 CONCACAF U17 Women’s Qualifiers, on Wednesday after their 2-0 loss to Honduras on Opening Day on Monday, here’s a look at all Day 1 scores.
The U17 Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) are set to face hosts Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, January 29, in their second match of the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U17 Qualifiers at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Day 1 of the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U17 Qualifiers:
Group A (Puerto Rico):
- Bermuda 2-0 Cayman Islands
- Puerto Rico 3-0 St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Group B (Trinidad and Tobago):
- Honduras 2-0 Belize
- Trinidad and Tobago 5-0 US Virgin Islands
Group C (Dominican Republic):
- Panama 9-0 Turks and Caicos Islands
- Cuba 2-0 Guyana
Group D (Nicaragua):
- El Salvador 9-0 Antigua and Barbuda
- Guatemala 3-1 Curaçao
Two groups will see their first action on Tuesday:
- Group E (Nicaragua):
- Kitts & Nevis vs. Nicaragua @ 6:00 PM
- Group F (Dominican Republic):
- Grenada vs. Dominican Republic @ 6:00 PM
The schedule for Belize’s matches is as follows:
- Monday, January 27, 2025: Belize 0-2 Honduras @ 5:00 PM (3:00 PM Belize)
- Wednesday, January 29, 2025: Belize vs. Trinidad and Tobago @ 8:00 PM (6:00 PM Belize)
- Friday, January 31, 2025: Belize vs. US Virgin Islands @ 5:00 PM (3:00 PM Belize)
The six group winners and the two best runners-up will advance to the next round, where they will join the top four teams, namely the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti, in April-May 2025 for the CONCACAF Championship. The top four from that tournament will earn a berth in the U17 World Cup to be held in Morocco this year.
