By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The passage of a tropical wave is supporting relatively moist and unstable conditions over Belize, according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be generally cloudy tonight and sunny with some cloudy spells tomorrow.

There is a medium chance that a few showers and isolated thunderstorms could occur over some coastal areas, with more possible over southern districts tonight and tomorrow. Elsewhere, shower activity will be isolated.

Thursday’s highs will reach 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 88 on the coast and 80 in the hills. Overnight lows drop to 74 inland, 79 on the coast and 68 in the hills.

At sea, easterly winds will blow at 5 to 15 knots with a light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.

Thursday night and Friday bring partly cloudy skies with only isolated showers or thunderstorms, except for a few more possible over the south Thursday night.

An area of low pressure west southwest of the Cabo Verde islands has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression, but poses no threat to Belize.
