By Aaron Humes: 1.9 percent of Belizeans are currently unemployed per the September round of the Labour Force Survey conducted by the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB).
An unemployed person does not currently have a job, has been looking for one in the past four weeks but available to start working in the next two weeks.
The result is down slightly both from April’s figure and that of September 2024, which stood at 2.1 percent.
