By Breaking Belize News Staff: Former police officer Elmer Nah has been found guilty on all counts of murder in the shocking and sensational 2022 New Year’s Ever triple murder of Vivian, John, and David Ramnarace in Belmopan.
The prosecution maintained that on December 31, 2022, Nah went to the Ramnarace residence and shot brothers Jon Ramnarace and David Ramnarace, Jon’s wife Vivian Ramnarace, and Yenie Alberto. Jon and David died that night, while Vivian died just over two weeks later; while Alberto survived.
Nah was indicted on three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder and pleaded not guilty to all counts. The high profile case centered heavily on disputed evidence, including video footage, boot-print evidence, and Vivian Ramnarace’s alleged identification of the shooter before her death.
He will be sentenced on June 18, 2026.
