By Zoila Palma: The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Regional Forum is taking place in Belize, bringing together alumni entrepreneurs from Belize and across the Caribbean for three days of collaboration, peer learning and regional networking.
The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Belize are hosting the forum, which includes a roundtable discussion with Belizean business leaders and U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Katharine Beamer focused on strengthening connections and collaboration across the region.
The event commences today at the Fort George Hotel in Belize City. YLAI is a U.S. Department of State exchange program that empowers emerging entrepreneurs across the Western Hemisphere by building lasting networks among young entrepreneurs, business leaders and social innovators throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States.
“This event creates a vibrant space for bold ideas and meaningful dialogue as the United States marks #Freedom250 and YLAI celebrates a decade of impact. It strengthens connections between YLAI alumni, U.S. businesses and institutions, while highlighting the leadership and innovation driving change across the region,” the U.S. Embassy in Belize said.
The embassy noted that YLAI continues to advance shared prosperity and help build a stronger, more connected regional economy.
