The fair was held from June 2 to 5 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

The K’íiwik (which means market in Yucatec Maya) hosted Belizean Tourism experts (led by Chief Tourism Officer from the Ministry, Josue Carballo) in regional and planning discussions; the BTB’s Marketing team in promotion; and a host of Belizean Tourism Stakeholders, invited via the BTIA, for Business to Business (B2B) engagement with international wholesalers and influencers.

The Ministry of Tourism expressed pride in Belize’s tourism representatives as they showcased the deep roots sectors of the Belizean tourism ecosystem still hold and continue to grow as it promotes our Mayan heritage.

“The Mayan culture is alive and present in our region and more so in our country’s product and service offerings,” the Ministry said.
