By Zoila Palma: Today, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Lewis-McChord delivered 4 emergency vehicles to Southern Emergency Services, to be used to support emergency response efforts in communities across Belize.
“The United States supports Belize and regional neighbors through the Denton Humanitarian Assistance Program, which transports donated relief supplies such as medical equipment, school materials, and food on U.S. military aircraft at no cost to donors,” the U.S. Embassy in Belize noted.
The U.S. Embassy says that turning unused cargo space into meaningful support is one way #SOUTHCOM helps strengthen partnerships by building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous region.
