By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Dangriga have made an arrest in a murder investigation, formally charging two people in connection with the matter.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, police arrested and charged 25-year-old Naheem Bonilla, a Belizean welder of Dangriga Town, along with a 17-year-old male minor, also of Dangriga. The two were jointly charged with the crime of murder.
In keeping with standard practice, the identity of the minor is being withheld.
Both accused are charged with the offence and, as in any criminal matter, are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Police have not released further details at this time. This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
