By Zoila Palma: The Elections and Boundaries Department is reminding eligible voters that the annual Transfer of Electors period begins on July 1 and will run through August 31.
The process allows registered electors who have changed their place of residence to update their voting information and be registered in the correct electoral division.
To qualify for a transfer, applicants must have been registered electors since July 2, 2018, have lived at their new address for at least two months, and apply at the Elections and Boundaries registration office for the division in which they now reside.
Applicants are required to present one form of identification when applying, including a Voter’s ID, Driver’s License, Social Security Card, or Passport.
The department is encouraging all eligible voters who have moved to take advantage of the transfer period to ensure their voter registration reflects their current place of residence.
